Adam Shulman looks uncannily like William Shakespeare.
And they’re both married to women named Anne Hathaway. 🤯
So, is it just a freak coincidence… or “proof” of reincarnation—two souls destined to find each other again?
Online, the comments say it all:
“Soulmates reunited.”
“Twin flames.”
“Hearts connected across lifetimes.”
It sounds deep. It sounds spiritual.
And if you’re a Christian single today, you’ve probably felt the pull of that language, too.
We talk about “finding my soulmate,” “my other half.”
We wait for “the one God has for me.”
We hope that when we finally meet, it will feel… predestined.
Like the universe (a polite stand-in for God) clicked everything into place.
But what if these ideas aren’t Christian at all?
Here’s the thing most people don’t know:
The entire “twin flames” concept comes straight out of Greek mythology.
The story goes that human souls were once two-headed, four-armed beings who were split in two—and now wander the earth searching for their missing half.
It’s literally pagan philosophy.
And former New Age leaders—Doreen Virtue, Jenn Nizza, and Jac Marino Chen—call it exactly what it is: “Doctrines of demons.” (Their words, not mine.)
In their video Twin Flames and Soul Mates, they don’t hold back. They call it a seductive lie designed to bait you into spiritual bondage under the beautiful illusion of a predestined partner.
And the damage is real. Don’t just take my word for it. Look at the comments from people who lived it:
“THAT’S NOT YOUR TWIN FLAME. THAT’S A DUMPSTER FIRE.”
“I married my ‘twin flame’ and it was one of the most toxic relationships I’ve ever been in… Do not be deceived!!!”
“My divorced mother chased after a man she thought was her soul mate… It leads to sin and can be used to manipulate.”
See the pattern? These New Age ideas are cruel counterfeits.
They promise wholeness—but deliver toxicity, manipulation, emotional chaos… even physical abuse and ruined marriages.
And the suffering gets rebranded as spiritual progress. “It’s part of the plan,” they say. “Karmic cleansing,” and a necessary “runner-chaser dynamic” on the path to enlightenment.
No, it’s not. It’s deception.
The Bible never—not once—speaks of soulmates, twin flames, or a “better half.”
It never describes marriage as hunting for your missing puzzle piece.
One verse shuts the whole thing down: “… it is appointed for man to die once, and after that comes judgment.” — Hebrews 9:27
One life.
No reincarnation.
No spiritual scavenger hunt for your other half.
The fairy tale sold to you says love is a feeling: a fated, cosmic collision, a mirror to your soul, the answer to your loneliness.
The Bible says something radically different:
Love is a covenant — a sacrificial, gritty commitment.
Not a spark from a past life, but a choice in this one.
“Husbands, love your wives, as Christ loved the church and gave Himself up for her.”
— Ephesians 5:25
So, stop manifesting a partner.
Stop looking for signs from the “universe.”
Stop filtering your love life through pagan myths.
Open the Word of God.
You are not a half-finished person wandering the earth. You are a whole person—made complete in Christ(Colossians 2:10).
And yes, Scripture honors marriage:
“He who finds a wife finds a good thing…”
“It is not good that man should be alone…”
Marriage is a gift, not your identity. You are God’s child—secure, loved, complete—whether single or married.
And (when you meet someone running hard after Christ with you, someone aligned in faith, mission, and purpose—that’s when you know it’s time to get equally yoked.
