In today’s email:

  • What went viral vs. what really matters 👀

  • What does compatibility really mean 💖

  • Meet this week’s bachelors & bachelorettes! 🎉

You know what went viral among Gen Z these past two weeks?
A baby confidently dancing.
A quirky new word called “choppleganger” (basically a slightly… chopped look-alike). And an anti-overconsumption trend called Project Pan, where people try to finish their makeup instead of buying more.

That’s what grabbed millions of eyeballs.
That’s what the algorithm decided we needed to see.

Meanwhile, another global story barely showed up on our feeds — Scott Adams, the creator of Dilbert, passed away.

What made his death interesting wasn’t the famous comic strip, or the controversies, or even his decision to jump on the MAGA train.

Days before his death, he spoke openly about turning to Christ.
That shook some people.
Encouraged others.

Some Christians criticized his wording.
Others called him the 21st-century thief on the cross.

But the core reality remained: A man facing death chose Christ.

It raised real questions about eternity — about life after death.

And yet… that story barely touched Gen Z feeds.

Because let’s be honest — we are the young and restless.
We scroll past eternal matters but stop for funny clips.
We skip what’s important but replay what’s viral.
And I’m not judging — I do it too.

Scott Adams was “fortunate” in one sense — he knew his time was short.
Most of us won’t.
- The doctors may not give us a warning.
- There may be no time for that final Instagram post.
- There may be no countdown clock…

I used to have a T-shirt (before the meme days) that said:
“Most of us want to accept Jesus in the 11th hour — but die at 10:30.”

That line made me get serious about eternity now — instead of letting distractions dominate my thoughts and postpone what really matters.

One day (as Scott Adams found out),
the baby dance won’t matter.
The quirky slang won’t matter.
The TikTok trends won’t matter.

But what will matter is this:

Were you wise enough to secure your eternity?

So put the rocks in the jar first.
Make the big decisions first.
And then —
“All these things shall be added unto you.”

Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed? (For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things. But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.

Matthew 6:31-33

💖 What does Compatibility Really Mean?

Compatibility gets marketed like a personality quiz result.
Same music taste? Compatible.
Same love language? Compatible.
Both hate cilantro? Soulmates. 🫠

But biblically speaking, compatibility was never about ease or aesthetics.
It was about alignment.

What compatibility is: shared direction, shared values, and a shared willingness to choose love even when it’s inconvenient. Amos 3:3 asks, “Can two walk together unless they are agreed?”

Agreement here isn’t about hobbies - it’s about purpose.
Where are you going?
Who are you becoming?
Who is God shaping you to be?

Look at Ruth and Boaz.
They weren’t compatible because of chemistry alone. Ruth chose loyalty, humility, and faith. Boaz chose integrity and protection. Their compatibility came from character. They honored God individually before they ever honored each other — and the relationship grew from that foundation.

Priscilla and Aquila are another example. Scripture never romanticizes them with grand gestures, but it shows partnership. They worked together, traveled together, and taught together (Acts 18). Compatibility looked like teamwork. Mutual respect. Shared mission.

Now—What Compatibility Isn’t

Compatibility isn’t intensity.

Samson and Delilah had chemistry, attraction, drama — and zero spiritual alignment. Samson ignored warning signs because desire felt like destiny. That relationship didn’t fail due to lack of passion.
It failed because it lacked wisdom and obedience.

Compatibility also isn’t longevity.

A relationship lasting a long time doesn’t automatically mean it’s healthy or God-centered.
Israel and Egypt aren’t a marriage story, but they are a relationship story. They lived there for generations. They survived there. And yet God calls it bondage.

Familiarity made slavery feel safer than freedom.

Some things endure because they’re rooted in God.
Others endure because we’ve mistaken endurance for virtue.

And compatibility is definitely not “They make me feel chosen.”

David fell hard for Bathsheba, but his foolishness fractured his household for generations. Love without balance, discernment, and fairness can still cause irreparable damage.

Real Compatibility

Granted, real compatibility doesn’t erase conflict. Even the godliest couples disagree.

But it does create space where:
- Growth is possible
- Repentance is practiced
- Love is active, not passive

Which brings us back to Christ.

Jesus didn’t call people because they were easy. He called them because they were willing.

Compatibility with Christ means surrender, transformation, and shared purpose — not comfort.

So if compatibility is your goal, stop asking:“Do they get me?”

Start asking:
- Do we move in the same direction?
- Do we sharpen each other?
- Do we bring each other closer to truth, love, and God?

Compatibility isn’t just “We clicked.”
It’s alignment.
It’s accountability.
And it’s NOT actively ruining each other’s lives along the way.

Who’s in the Singles Spotlight this week?

NIKHIL
Gentle. Musical.
Passionate about young lives.

37M | 170 cm | Pune, IND | Protestant | B Ed | English, Hindi | Teacher/Academic Mentor

An educator with a passion for transformation — that’s Nikhil in a nutshell.

With over 15 years in the education field, he’s never happier than seeing children grow in their own unique ways and fostering an environment where they can truly thrive.

Nikhil experienced a major personal transformation at 15 when he came to know Christ. Today, he’s a strong believer who desires to live a disciplined life that glorifies His name. An active member of his congregation, especially in discipleship, he’s also part of the music team — you can even catch him leading worship at times!

In his free time, Nikhil is an avid nature photographer. He loves being outdoors but is just as happy unwinding with a good book or two. He now seeks someone to join him in his next chapter — sharing his deep love for Christ and the childlike faith He calls us to emulate.

JEN
Traveler & Foodie, Rooted in Christ..

32 | 157 cm | Kochi, IND | MS | Non-Denominational | English, Malayalam

Jen is the definition of a globe-trotter — born in Saudi, raised in Bahrain, and having lived and worked in New Zealand, Italy, and India, travel truly runs in her veins!

Energetic yet down-to-earth, Jen works for a US-based company in Kochi while also building her own side hustle. In her free time, she enjoys swimming, badminton, painting, cooking, or simply unwinding with green tea and long walks.

But beyond the degrees, passport stamps, and hobbies, she’s grounded in something far sturdier — her faith. A born-again believer who lives by “Nothing is impossible for the Lord,” Jen is ready for her next chapter: building a Christ-centered home.

She’s seeking a believer who is steady yet adventurous, kind-hearted, fun, and a good communicator.
